If further investigations such as imaging or referral to another healthcare professional are necessary, this can be discussed during your consultation.

Your initial consultation lasts approximately 60 minutes and includes:
A detailed discussion about your symptoms and medical history.
A thorough physical examination.
An explanation of our findings.
Treatment, where clinically appropriate.
Advice, exercises and a personalised management plan.
The goal is for you to leave with a clear understanding of your condition and a plan for moving forward.
-
In most cases, yes. If it is safe and appropriate to do so, treatment is usually provided during your first appointment.
However, there may occasionally be circumstances where further investigations or referral are required before treatment can begin.
-
Most people find chiropractic treatment comfortable and often experience relief following treatment.
Some people may experience some tenderness afterwards, similar to how you might feel after exercise. This usually settles within 24-48 hours.
-
Please wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move easily. For some assessments, you may be asked to expose the area being examined, but your comfort and privacy will always be respected.
-
Almost certainly. We believe that recovery works best when patients take an active role in their care.
You may be given exercises, stretches or lifestyle advice designed to improve your symptoms, support recovery and reduce the risk of problems returning.
-
Many patients choose to continue with occasional maintenance appointments once their symptoms have settled.
These sessions are designed to help maintain mobility, manage recurring aches and support long-term health and wellbeing.

If you’re unsure whether chiropractic care is suitable for your problem, please get in touch. We’d be happy to have a chat and answer any questions before you book your appointment.
